Fatos Dimiri: Director in Saranda
"I started working for Hope For The World in 2002, but what was the worst thing, nobody was there to speak to them about God.
In the beginning of the democracy in1993 in Saranda came a lot of American missionaries in the name of the HFTW. In the same time they created the First Baptist Church in Saranda. I started to go to the Church and in July 1995 I was saved and baptized. A lot of bad things happened to my life like the death of the most important person for me, my father, but I never lost the faith in God.
So it was so easy for me to speak to these kids about God , His job and plans. During all these years these kids are growing together with us and the God’s words and I am so happy that HFTW is present in Saranda, is such a spiritual help and material one.
I am also the HFTW staff representative to a large group of senior citizens we are helping every month, “The Threshold of Hope”, as we are reaching them before they leave this life as they are on the threshold of eternity. This is a joy and blessing to my wife and I to see happiness brought into their lives through The Love of God and friends of Hope for the World.

My first contact with HFTW was when the wonderful couple Roger and Cherie Mullins blessed my marriage in September 2004. We have a Guest House and when the Americans come visit the work of HFTW in Saranda, they stay there. As I listened to their testimonies, I realized that these people were connected to each other by a very special power; the power of God.
During these years I was a bank employee and it kept me very, very busy. It was a winter evening on 2009 when I had a phone call from Roger Mullins and he asked me to
Become a part – time worker for HFTW. I accepted of course.
The first time I met the kids in the orphanage on this new job they all ran towards me to hug me. I felt like the most happy person in the world. Being already the mother of 2 boys and having grown up
without a father, I realized the great need of these kids for affection and love.
There I realized that whether or not we are well dressed, well educated, rich or poor, it doesn’t matter. Before God we are all equal. So HFTW and the people involved with HFTW have changed the life of these children and also mine. Thank you God for directing our lives. We feel so safe with you.
Along with caring for the needy in Albania for over 25 years, Roger and Cherie have spent a lifetime in Evangelism, Gospel music and soul-winning services for Christ Jesus.
